Next steps

A high quality built environment is crucial to the region's economic prosperity and quality of life and your views form an important part of getting the right development in the right place.

The masterplan shows an overall proposal for the residential element of the scheme together with three options for the ‘employment zone’. We welcome your views on these options. Please note than none of the plans are final and are likely to be subject to amendments following receipt of your comments.

Following on from this consultation any comments received will be taken into consideration in the final drafting of the proposals for the submission of the outline planning application. Please let us know if you do not want your name and address identifying in our report on the public consultation that we have to send to the council when we submit the planning application.

We hope to be able to submit this application within a matter of weeks, with a view to securing planning consent before the end of the summer.

This ambitious timetable means that a detailed reserved matters application could be submitted by the autumn and work could commence on the first phase of the development within the year.

The applicants are committed to achieving a high quality of development on this site and your views can help ensure the proposals succeed in generating a strong sense of place in a living working Chelford.
