The benefits of Wincham Urban Village
- Providing a full range of much needed housing to meet the needs of the community over a 12 year period.
- Bringing in 1,000 new households into the area on a phased basis, which will positively contribute to the social
and economic regeneration of the area, and Northwich Vision. It will also make a positive contribution to the
Northwich Growth Point.
- To provide the impetus for a new dedicated bus route to serve existing and new residents – an issue already
raised through the public consultation process.
- Extensive pedestrian and cycle route links to both the town-centre, local schools and the major employment
areas at Wincham and beyond.
- Extensive areas of public open space, complementing the recently completed Ashton’s and Neumann’s Flashes
Country Park and the wider Weaver Valley Regional Park.
- Will help sustain local services, including Wincham Community Primary School and Rudheath Community High School.
