High quality built environment is crucial to the region’s economic prosperity and quality of life and your views form an important part of getting the right development in the right place.
The development consortium are committed to achieving a high quality of development on this site and accordingly the proposals are also being considered in mid May by ‘Places Matter’ design review board. A partner to the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) ‘Places Matter’ are an organisation which aims to drive up the quality of place making and is devoted to generating a strong sense of place in living, working and learning environments throughout the Northwest.
Following on from this review any comments received will be taken into consideration in the final drafting of the proposals for submission of the outline planning application. We hope to be able to submit this application within a matter of weeks with a view to securing planning consent before the end of this summer.
This ambitious timetable means that a detailed reserved matters application could be submitted by the autumn and work could commence on the first phase of the development within the year.
