The existing farmhouse would be renovated, including the demolition of a small single-storey extension. The existing north west facing gable elevation would also be rebuilt in its original position. The internal layout would be re-arranged to provide three reception rooms/dining room/snug, a kitchen and separate morning room on the ground floor. An improved external walled courtyard would also be provided. At first floor level there would be four bedrooms (two with en-suite bathrooms) and a family bathroom. The house would be fully renovated with respect to the historic architectural detail and character of the listed building.
The Barn Conversion (Click images to view)
The existing barn is partially two-storey, partially single-storey and comprises a double garage, store rooms on the ground floor with a workshop, games room and store on the first floor, all ancillary to the main farmhouse. The proposal is to convert the barn into one dwelling. The dwelling would comprise living space on the ground floor with three bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) and a family bathroom at first floor level. The conversion would utilise all existing and original openings on the elevations to retain the character of the barn.
